Christmas tree on – please

Tyler being the geek he is has set up the Christmas tree lights to a remote. Noah now thinks he can turn the tree on and off by asking it to. He says “Christmas tree on, please” or “Christmas tree off, please”. Video to come.

Little Hands

1

Oh how I love little hands. On Thanksgiving night we drove my brother home. I was sitting in the back with the boys. Landon fell asleep right away. Noah was watching the lights as we drove by. I reached my hand over and touched his hair, and he looked up at me and pulled my hand down and held it. It was so sweet to be driving, holding hands with my little toddler. He really can be so sweet, he held my hand for like 10-15 minutes.
On the way home from dropping off my brother I sat in the front seat. At one point on the freeway it got really loud, and it was dark. Noah started saying he was scared and reached for my hand. Again, it was very cool… a bit more awkward sitting in the front and holding hands with him in the back. But still so cute – I so enjoy being a mom.

Why you should NOT get a real Christmas tree.

Saturday I ran to the store to grab a couple things. As I was leaving I noticed this woman walking her dog right in front of the store. Then I noticed her dog was hopping on three legs peeing as he went on his way… peeing all over the Christmas trees in front of the store! I’m so glad we go with the fake tree!

Watch out world here comes Landon – WALKING!

Today before church I stood Landon up leaning on couch so I could take a picture of him in his cute outfit. He got all excited about the camera and took about 5 or 6 steps to me! It was very wobbly and he can’t always do it, but he did it a lot today! It was so fun – and he was so excited. I got a shot little video, I’ll post it soon.

Growing Pains

0

We had our first experience with growing pains last week. Noah woke up in the middle of the night crying for Mommy. Tyler went in to check on him (if I go in he needs to cuddle with me on the couch for a while before going back to bed. Tyler somehow can get him to go back to bed right away.) But when he doesn’t feel good Daddy is good but Mommy is a necessity. So when he saw Daddy he yelled for mommy. I came in and took him to the couch for a cuddle and he wouldn’t stop crying. We asked him what was wrong and he said that he hurt. We asked where and he gave me his foot to kiss. Two days later I put his shoes on him and all of a sudden the shoes that fit fine just a few days ago became too tight. It’s amazing how fast they can grow.

Pure Studios

So Tyler has turned one of his favorite hobbies into a small business. As most people know, Tyler is a pretty big computer geek – and I love him for it. And building computers is one of the things he loves most, so he’s started a small business building custom computers for people, fixing computers, setting up computer networks, and creating websites for people. Lucky for us we have a contact at the Comcast call center that can refer people to him when they have computer or router issues. If you want to check it out it’s www.purestudios.org

New blog abilities

So my blogs have been far and few in-between. Before I’ve had to go into the actual code to put a blog together, kind of a pain. Now Tyler has put together this great blogging feature on our website, making it really easy for me to post and for you to leave comments if you wish. Just click on the title of the blog and at the bottom you can comment. We hope you enjoy it.

Blue Skadoo

If any of you know the kids show Blue’s Clues you’ll love this. Blue’s Clues is Noah’s favorite show – it’s his comfort show. When he doesn’t feel good he needs his Blue’s Clues fix. One day we were sitting on the couch looking at the book. So he was turning the pages and I was pointing and telling him what the different things were. All of a sudden he says “I know!” Jumps off the couch with the book, puts the book on the ground, does a little dance while humming, and jumps onto the book. Then it hit me that was the tone to the song Joe sings before he Skadoo’s into a picture. Then I sang the Skadoo song and he danced and jumped in. What was really great was after doing it a couple times he shrugged his shoulders and arms and was like – what am I doing wrong!

Baby or Puppy?

0

So lately I’ve been wondering if I have a baby or a puppy. He crawls around everywhere on all 4’s, he drools, sometimes he whimpers, and now he’s started to bite with his little teeth. I had decided that he was defiantly a baby, but then the other night I was changing his diaper, I got it off and he got away from me. He crawled into the kitchen where Dad and Noah were, which was cute with his naked bum in the air. But then he lifted his leg and peed!!! Maybe I was wrong.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

About a month ago Noah started putting on shows for us. Sometimes it’s singing, sometimes it drumming or pretending to play some instrument, and sometimes it’s dancing. All very fun and cute – but my favorite part is when he’s done we clap and he bows and says “Thank you, thank you, thank you”. It’s all too cute!
