Fruit Flies
0We finally got some heat around here… but with that heat our fruit attracted fruit flies. They drove me CRAZY! I came up with this idea…
It’s just a jar with some orange peals (banana peals work too) make a funnel with a piece of paper, with a small hole in the bottom, so the flies can get in. Tape the funnel well! The little guy get trapped so well!
It’s not all my idea – I goggled fruit fly trap last Summer and it said to do this with the jar, but put apple cider vinegar in it. But I never caught any flies with that. In my frustration with the little bugs this year it hit me – but the fruit in the jar. Worked GREAT!
Landon’s Hair

So I’ve always wanted to do this… but Tyler had different views. Noah just had a Pirate Birthday Party which gave me the perfect excuse to go for it. Can he ROCK this or what?!

In June we took advantage of a great deal to get some photo’s taken from Irene Jones Photography. She’s really great! Got the boys to feel comfortable… and well they pictures speak for themselves… They turned out wonderful!
I’m a lucky girl… I’ve got 3 of the cutest boys around!! Thank you Irene!!!
Building a little love
0Did you know at Lowes they have these great FREE workshops where your kids can build special projects? We went to our first one last week. It was a heart music box for Valentines Day. It’s very cool! They get their own apron to keep and bring back to the next one, small hammers to use and goggles!

Where’s my hair!?
0Last Saturday was hair cut night. I’m not skilled at this at all, I just have some clippers and I go for it. It normally turns out alright… considering these are little boys who can’t sit still to save their lives.
Landon has special hair, no matter how long I let it get it doesn’t fall down, so I normally cut it short… this time I cut it a little to short…
The next day he came into my room as I was getting ready for church and he saw himself in the mirror. “Mom! Where’s my hair!!?? Where’s my hair!!??” Then he started looking around the room for it.

2010 Visit With Santa
0Thursday we went to visit Santa. The boys were all excited… singing Christmas songs all the way there… well their versions of Christmas songs. Which I have to admit, I kinda like their renditions better
We got totally lucky when we got there! No one was in line! One kid was sitting with Santa, so we only had to wait for him! As we waited the 2 minutes for our turn, 4 other family came in behind us – I love it when you get somewhere at just the right time! But within that 2 minutes Landon decided he wasn’t sure about the big guy with a beard in a red suit and hat. He had to leave the room. Noah on the other hand jumped right in his lap and started chatting it up! With the use of a candy cane I finally got Landon to sit on a chair on my lap next to Santa. Then I tried to remove myself from the chair so we could get some pictures with just the boys. Landon started to freak out… then some strange Donald Duck noises started coming out of Santa which totally changed the mood!!

Being a Fireman Is Cool!
1Yesterday (Saturday October 19th) the Monroe Fire Station had an open house. We got to go on a tour of the station, ride on a fire truck, spray the fire hose. The boys had a blast!! On the way home Noah tells me that “being a fireman is cool! The rest of the day Landon ran around the house telling me he was driving the fire truck
