Adventures in Taiwan
How did it all start?
When I (Tyler) was 19 years old, I was called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a period of 2 years on the little island of Taiwan in South East Asia. During that time I had many life altering experiences, learned to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and met hundreds of thousands of amazing people.
After completing my two years in Taiwan the Asian culture and people had become a huge part of my life. I decided to hold on to that part of my life by starting an international trade company with the companion that I had been with longest and became the closest to.
While working hard on putting together the details of our business we both settled down and started our families.
In Jan 2005 Kelly and I were married and shortly afterward moved to Taiwan to facilitate the needs of our growing company.
Living in Taiwan
All of Asia is like an entirely new world and it was exciting exploring it together as a new couple. Our time in Taiwan was challenging at times, but mostly an immense amount of fun.
Kelly would write out experiences monthly while we lived in Taiwan and then post them on our web site.
