Yes, it was time for a change, so I spent some time creating a new look for our family blog. The info will be updated slowly, but hey, now it LOOKS cool!

1st Ice Cream Cone
May 9th
I can’t believe I haven’t given the boys an ice cream cone before today… It was pretty funny, they didn’t know what to do with it. When Landon reached the rim of the actual cone he started scooping it out with his hands. I had to show both of them it was ok to eat the cone.
I’m pretty sure the reason I avoided cones has something to do with the mess that I knew would happen.
My Butterfly Hunters
May 9th
We were outside playing Friday and saw a butterfly. Landon started chasing it around, trying to catch it. Then Noah said “wait we need a net!” And came running back with this net – and we were on the hunt 
Zoo trip!

Swim Lessons

In March I had the boys in swim lessons. Landon was in a parent toddler class and Noah was a starter class. Here’s some of the fun one day.
A Frog!

Wednesday was a beautiful day. Playing outside we found some things.
Noah wouldn’t touch the worm because “it’s slimy”

A few weeks ago we lost power… this is us in the dark.

Nothing like a 3 year old

I lost my mother when I was 9 years old. Unfortunately I have very little memories of her. One of my strongest memories of my mom is her sitting in our living room with the rest of the family. I don’t know what I was doing but she looked at me and asked “Can you go back to being 3 years old?” I walked away and came back walking on my knees saying “look mom, I’m three”.
I now have a 3 year old. He is the silliest 3 year old I know. He is the funniest 3 year old I know. He is the most thoughtful 3 year old I know. Yes he can drive me crazy, but he can make me laugh so hard I cry. If I’m sick he wants to be by my side helping me feel better. He really is one of my joys and comforts in my life
I don’t know who I was when I was 3, but I watch him, especially when he’s being silly and I think about what my mother said to me. It makes me wonder if I was just as funny as Noah. If I made her laugh and smile like he makes me.
