Fun with blocks
Noah woke up from his nap before Landon… so we had fun with blocks!
Then Landon woke up…
But we made the best of the mess
Then I cleaned up
Dear Swim Suits
Dear Swim Suits
I’m sorry I had to put you in that drawer but I just couldn’t handle the way you guys kept looking at me when I walked by. I know it doesn’t seem right that I buy the two of you, take you to Hawaii and wear you like every day… and for the last few months you’ve just been laying on the drying rack. I guess I should have explained to you that we live in Washington and swim suits are only called for a couple weeks out of the year here. Trust me, it’s not you… it’s me… or where we live. I promise you will see the light of day again, unfortunately in Washington the light of day doesn’t always mean sunlight.
Take care,
Kelly
P.S. One of you will get to come out this week… the boys start swim lessons. So whichever one of you can cover me up the best will get to come out. Good luck.
Santa
We saw Santa on Monday. Noah told him he was a good boy and he wanted a Buzz Lightyear car.
Landon was more like… why am I sitting on this guy?
All the pictures are in the Gallery.
Squirrel!
Have you seen the movie “Up”? Very cute, very fun – totally suggest it. If you have you understand when I say SQUIRREL!

Noah and I will be playing and he’ll randomly shout “Squirrel!” and look around.
Also the other day I watched as he tried to convince Landon to give him a toy that he wanted. He’d ask Landon for the toy, he’d say please… when that didn’t work he shouted “Squirrel” trying to distract Landon so he could have the toy. That didn’t work either… but it made me laugh – out loud. ![]()
Now it just seems to be something we all do, if you want to be silly shout squirrel! If you need a distraction from a meltdown shout squirrel!
Christmas Decorating
Noah was very excited to decorate for Christmas. Landon was excited, he just didn’t know it until we started.
I just love Landon’s laugh!
Favorite Mommy Tools
Apple Slicer
I use it daily! Apples are a staple in our life, a quick easy snack.
Spill Proof Water Spouts by Gerber
We have a set of 2 in the car and 2 in the house. That way I have water ready and available at all times for them. Since I found them the boys drink less juice and more water. They’d rather ask for juice, but if the water is right there, they’ll drink that instead. They also like having a water bottle like Mom.
Hawaii
Yeah, so I’m a slacker. When you’re in the moment things seem so blog worthy. As time goes by that you don’t actually blog… not so important. But Hawaii was wonderful. It had plenty of frustrating moments with a 22 month old and a 3 year old but it was Hawaii… and we’d do it again.
Frustrations:
• Landon getting sick the day we left
• Landon vomiting on me on the air plan
• Landon vomiting in the rental car
• Landon being sick, cranky and snotty the first couple days in Hawaii
• Boys needing naps making it hard to explore Hawaii
• 1st day of the cruise waiting for our cabin.
• Noah getting sick with asthma issues the 3rd day of the cruise
• Noah getting me sick
• Landon being two months too young to play in the Kids Club ship program
• Landon not being aloud in the pool on the boat because he wears diapers.
• Boys needing naps making it hard to explore the different Islands.
• All the melt downs the boys had because naps being messed up.
• Forgetting stuff on the ship the last day
• Forgetting stuff on the boat leaving the ship
• Breaking part of the glass wall in the hotel
Awesomeness of the trip
• Hello it’s Hawaii… that’s awesomeness alone
• Sand – real soft to walk on SAND on the beach
• The resort being right on the beach
• Cool pool at the resort
• Having our own half kitchen at the resort
• Our condo at the resort – the bathroom was so fabulous! Noah called it our cool new Hawaii house
• Shaved Ice
• Sand on the beach
• Noah being so fearless in the ocean
• Scuba lessons – the resort had a free intro scuba class.
• Snorkeling
• Sand on the beach
• Warm rain
• Almost missing our plan to Honolulu to get to our cruise, running through the air port like in Home Alone – it was hilarious! And they held the plane for us.
• Kids club – Noah had so much fun.
• The assortment of all you can eat food
• Milkshakes – on the ship we’d put the kids in bed then wait in the hall for them to fall asleep. Every night Tyler would go get us milkshakes to drink while we waited.
• Sand on the beach
For the most part we had a blast… even some of the bad stuff makes for pretty good story. We’d do it again… hopefully we will do it again. But I’m thinking at the soonest we’d try it again as a family is when Landon is 3 and almost done with naps if not done with naps. Maybe we’ll get to go again before that… just the grown ups
Check out the gallery for photo proof we were there
Motivation Picture
I’m a big fan of Sparkpeople.com – it’s a great website for supporting you with weight loss. One thing they suggest is putting up is motivation pictures. Most of my motivation pictures are from the movie Blue Crush… it’s a Hawaii surf girl movie. I love it.
One morning I find this picture as the back ground of my computer.

It totally made me laugh… my face on that body – I wish! But what topped it off was when Noah saw it. Noah was sitting on my lap at the computer and when he saw it he said “Mommy! That’s you! What happened to your tummy?! Where did it go? It’s like magic.” It cracked me up. I never knew how aware Noah was of my tummy.
Tyler’s excited can you tell…
Looking at our new blog background… and title… can you tell we’re off to Hawaii?
We are Hawaii bound this week! Five days in an awesome resort, and then we’re taking a Hawaiian cruise! I’ll try to keep the blog updated.
